Google Business Profile

Add a Manager to Your Google Business Profile

How to invite us as a manager so we can optimize your Google Business Profile listing. This takes about 2 minutes and does not give us ownership of your account.

Before you start

  • A Google account that owns the listing
  • Your Google Business Profile listing claimed and verified
  • Our email address (we’ll provide this)

Steps

  1. Go to business.google.com and sign in

Open your browser and go to business.google.com. Sign in with the Google account you used to create or claim your business listing.

  2. Select your business

If you manage more than one business, you’ll see a list. Click on the business you want us to help with. If you only have one listing, you’ll go straight to the dashboard.

  3. Open Business Profile settings

Look for the three-dot menu (…) near the top of the page, or click Business Profile settings in the left sidebar. The exact location depends on whether Google has updated the layout recently, but it’s usually near the top-right area of your dashboard.

  4. Click People and access

In the settings menu, click People and access (it may also appear as Managers in some versions). This is where you control who can view and edit your listing.

  5. Click the Add button

You’ll see a blue + icon or an Add button at the top of the People and access page. Click it to start adding a new person.

  6. Enter our email address

Type in the email address we provided. Double-check for typos, as the invitation will only go to the exact address you enter.

Tip: Manager access lets us update your listing info, respond to reviews, and add photos, but does not give us ownership or billing access. You stay in full control.
  7. Select Manager role and send the invitation

Make sure the role is set to Manager (not Owner or Communications Manager). Then click Invite. We’ll receive an email and accept the invitation on our end. You’ll see our name appear in the People and access list once we accept.

Common Issues

I don’t see People and access in the menu

Only the listing owner can add managers. If you don’t see this option, your Google account may not be the owner of the listing. Check which Google account you’re signed in with, or look for a “Request ownership” option.

I can’t find my listing

Your listing may be under a different Google account. Try signing out and signing back in with the email you originally used to set up your Google Business Profile. You can also search for your business at business.google.com to see which account owns it.

The Manager option is grayed out

This usually means your listing hasn’t been verified yet. Google requires verification before you can add managers. Look for a “Verify now” banner at the top of your dashboard and complete the verification process first.

The invitation expired before we accepted it

Invitations expire after a set period. Go back to People and access and send a new invitation to the same email address. We’ll accept it right away.
